Opened in October 2019, the THAI Royal Orchid Prestige Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi is the first of a wave of remodeled clubs. Just like Royal Silk and Royal Orchid lounges, the club welcomes the airline’s Business and First Class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold customers. The “Prestige” moniker merely hints at a new design and an elevated level of service. The space overlooks the concourse and lacks proper tarmac views, but receives a fair amount of daylight. The design places an emphasis on the use of natural materials and finishes—stone, wood—and incorporates several living walls.
